Many of you will remember days when your Dad played ball with you as a kid. I can remember my Pop throwing the ball as high as he could in the backyard so that I’d learn to catch pop ups. He would then pitch to me and I to him. He’d tell me not to worry about where the ball went. Just chuck it as hard as you can. We’ll worry about accuracy later.
And so, I did.
I still remember those days vividly – among the clearest of my early memories.
It was hard not to think back on those days after watching this video, although admittedly, as much as Dad may have appreciated those days and my athletic accomplishments as a young boy, this Dad’s response to his son’s achievement is off the chart.
Have fun watching.
I did!
