With 1.7 million followers on TikTok, Deputy Terpin and his K-9 partner, Arlo, have established quite the following on social media. The dynamic duo captured the hearts of their followers with their fun and creative energy.
Tragedy struck on January 13th, 2021 when Arlo was shot twice on duty during a vehicle pursuit. He was immediately rushed to the nearby veterinary hospital where his chances for survival were low. In order to undergo multiple surgeries, Arlo was transferred to the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine – Oregon State University. Arlo’s devoted followers showed their support by donating money to help Deputy Terpin with his medical bills.
Deputy Terpin documented Arlo’s progress by posting updates on his Instagram and TikTok account. Through Arlo’s warrior spirit and ability to fight through, Arlo was released from the hospital this past Monday. On his way out, he was greeted with countless love and support from the local community, his fellow officers, and his devoted social media followers. His coming home video, which was posted on TikTok, shows the amazing support of his community and the gratitude Deputy Terpin has for their followers.
We wish Arlo a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see him back in action!
